I’m Jess
— a Denver-based photographer shooting live music, press photos for musicians, and portraits across Colorado. My world runs on real partnerships. If you win, I win. If the project lands, we all celebrate.
Most of the people I work with aren’t “clients” in the stiff way people mean it. They’re artists, performers, and big personalities I genuinely like being around. I don’t shoot shows for access — musicians have always been my friends, and the music scene has always felt like home.
When you work with me, you’re stepping into a community: artists supporting artists, sharing networks, expanding opportunities, and building something bigger than one shoot. I’m here for the people who go against the grain — individuality over everything — and who want photos that feel authentic, intentional, and usable.
Built for professional flexibility
These sessions are designed around your real business needs. You can purchase only the images you need, with no obligation to buy the entire gallery. After viewing the finished results, you remain free to upgrade the full gallery or license specific images for a larger project.
Standard Usage License Included - The included license is issued to the artist or band that booked the session. It covers use of the selected images for your own project and self-promotion, including:
Your EPK and artist biography
Your official website
Your official social media accounts
Your streaming and artist profiles
Your own booking materials
Your own release and performance announcements
Promotional flyers or posters created and distributed by you
Submission to publications for editorial press coverage
You are welcome to send the images to your manager, label, venue, promoter or other project partners for review and coordination.
Sending them the files does not give those organizations permission to publish the images on their own websites, social media, advertising or promotional materials.
Independent use by a venue, promoter, label, sponsor, agency, manager or other outside organization requires a Third-Party Usage License. Publications may use submitted images for legitimate editorial coverage of your project, but advertising, sponsored content and other commercial use require additional licensing.
You are not required to purchase licensing you may never use. Paid advertising, album artwork, packaging, merchandise and use by labels, venues, promoters or other outside organizations can be licensed later—after you have seen the final images and know exactly what the project requires.
Licensing Built Around Your Real Needs
You do not have to purchase usage rights before you know which images you will use or how they will be distributed. After viewing the finished gallery, you may license individual images or a coordinated group of images based on the specific project, approved users and intended use.
This allows you to:
Purchase only the photographs you need
Upgrade the full gallery after seeing the results
License selected images for album artwork, paid advertising or merchandise
Give specific venues, promoters, labels or partners permission to promote your project
Expand licensing later as your campaign or audience grows
Licensing upgrades are available for individual photographs or grouped image packages. This gives you the freedom to select only the images that need broader usage, including images that other businesses or organizations will use to promote your project.
My work has been published across music and culture outlets, and that experience shapes how I approach branding, press, and promotional images. When the goal is professional use, we plan with that use in mind from the start. During your free consultation, we’ll talk through where the photos need to live, what sizes or crops you may need, how the images will support your website, social media, press kit, release, profile, or promotional materials, and what deliverables make the most sense for your project.
Band promo & Press sessions should feel connected to your sound, style, and the energy of the people in the band. We’ll talk through your release plans, outfits, location ideas, visual references, and where the images need to show up before the shoot, so the session has a clear direction.
During the shoot, we’ll move through group shots, individual moments, tighter portraits, movement, attitude, and anything that helps the photos feel connected to your music. Bring instruments, jackets, props, references, playlists, inside jokes, or anything that makes the band feel like the band.
You do not need to show up with a perfect concept or know exactly how to pose. I’ll guide spacing, expression, movement, angles, and small details so the images feel intentional, natural, and useful.
The goal is to give you band promo photos for EPKs, artist bios, release announcements, posters, websites, social media, booking materials, and press outreach — images that help people understand the band before they hear the first song.
